Dobson, as we called him, Vlekkie as his rescuer called him, has been with us since January and has been transformed with the help of bi-weekly visits from Rosa, Dr van der Merwe at the Wellington Animal Hospital Group @wellingtonanimalhospitalgroup, our amazing staff at the kennels and Bravecto South Africa @bravectosouthafrica from MSD South Africa @msd.southafrica. Bravecto® not only treats ticks and fleas, but mange-causing skin and ear mites too.
His mange was so bad that his back seemed to almost have been scalded or burnt!! The little man no older than 6 months of age, had not lost hope and soon his personality (as well as some hair) started to come through. We all had a running bet as to what colour his fur would eventually be when cured.
He has now gone off with the rescuer and now adopted Mom Rosa to meet his new brothers and sisters and live his best life!! Both have left a huge space down at the kennels, but we can all follow his antics on INSTA @vlek_kie1 (please follow him) xxxx
