DONATE
Bona fide monetary donations qualify for an 18A tax certificate and entitles you to a tax deduction in respect of your donation. Donors who are South African taxpayers are entitled to deduct the total value of their donations to 18A approved organisations, like Wellington SPCA, in any tax year, up to a limit of 10% of their taxable income for that tax year. Should you require an 18A tax certificate in lieu of for your kind donation, please email us at info@wellingtonspca.co.za together with the proof of donation.

VOLUNTEER
Our volunteers are invaluable to our society. You need to be older than 16 years of age to volunteer and be willing to go through a simple screening process.
HOW YOU CAN VOLUNTEER
Some of the many ways you can assist at Wellington SPCA:
- Helping with fundraising initiatives and sponsorships
- Helping out at the kennels / mobile clinics / steri days
- Education initiatives at schools / assisting when school groups visit the kennels
- Transport / collecting donations
- Maintenance projects at the kennels / offices

Organise a Food Collection in your school, work or social circle. Donations can be delivered to our location in Wellington.

LEAVE A BEQUEST
A will is the best way to safeguard the future of the people and causes important to you. A bequest is simply a gift, usually to a charity (which should be specified by name eg Wellington SPCA), that is provided for in a will. Bequests may be in the form of a sum of money, a percentage of the estate, an item for use or sale – even property. Bequests will ensure the welfare of animals even beyond the lifetime of the present generations.
MEMBERSHIP
An SPCA membership is a simple way to help us raise funds and ensure we’re acting responsibly as a non-profit organisation.
The following classes of membership are available:
- Ordinary member (annual renewal)
- Corporate member (annual renewal)
- Life member
Junior members under 16 years of age and senior persons over the age of 65 are eligible for discounted fees, at the discretion of the Management Committee.
All classes of membership save for Life membership expire 31st March annually.
To join the Wellington SPCA or to renew your annual membership, please complete our membership form linked below and email it to info@wellingtonspca.co.za along with your proof of payment.
Please ensure your payments reflects your name, surname and the word ‘Membership’ so your payment may be correctly allocated and your details kept up to date.
Membership is open to all persons provided they conduct no activities which are against our Statement of Policy, please ensure you read the Statement of Policy and are in agreement before completing your membership form.

SUPPORT OUR FUNDRAISERS
We frequently host events and campaigns to raise funds in order to continue the work we do. You can contribute to our organisation by supporting our fundraising events.
THRIFT ITEMS & BOOK DONATIONS
You can donate your unwanted books, household items or clothing to the Wellington SPCA. We will use these items to raise funds through our monthly Book Sale and Jumble Sale days.
